Orawan and Robert's wedding

When was it :            Thursday October 16 2008

Where was it :           The Worabura Resort and Spa, Hua Hin

The sun shone all day; friends and family came from England, Turkey, Hong Kong, Beijing, Dubai, Brisbane, Bangkok and Samut Songkhram.

The bride was (and is) beautiful.

The ceremonies were colourful and interesting.

There was a huge amount of food. And it was good!

The speeches were brief, generous and enjoyable.

It was a very special day.

**************************

A quick introduction to Orawan ("Tai").

Smart, beautiful, inquisitive, confident, ambitious, hard-working; occasionally grumpy; a natural explorer with the most gentle of hearts and a smile that I would walk a million miles to see.

Pictures from the day are here.............

Wedding Pictures from "PamFolio"

The day's events.....

5.30am Wake up call for procession team.
7.00am Start of Kaan Mak procession.
7.29am The engagement, the wedding, the water pouring ceremony.

5.00pm Christian blessing by the beach.
6..00pm Cocktails by the beach.
7.00pm Dinner by the beach.

Music.

11.11pm. Ruen Hor (see the traditional wedding guide)

Until late: sitting on the beach wall singing songs with friends.

And a quick introduction to Robert:

When a picture says many words ! I am the one still standing !

Dress code....

"Smart casual" was Robert's choice; Tai's version is "something sexy"

Since the latter could prove difficult for some of Robert's friends smart casual is perfect. It is a beach wedding!

Vows:

Dearest Tai, I love you for your beauty, your intelligence, your kindness...I have learned so much from you about how to love and to trust. With you I am growing up to be the person that I want to be. I vow to always try as hard as I can to make you feel as special as you make me feel, always and forever.

Dearest Robert, you have been my best friend, my teacher, my mentor and my lover. You are always there when I need you even when I am thousands of miles away. I appreciate how lucky I am to have someone who makes me feel secure, warm, and loved. So I am truly blessed to be a part of your life, to love you every day and forever

Our thanks to:

Dennis: for all the work that he still has to do. And has now done.
