This picture was posted today on twitter by @FODavidV – an A380 first officer at Emirates. I hope he will not mind me making use of his picture.
It is interesting because ten years ago almost none of the high rise of Business Bay existed – the Burj Khalifa construction had just started. The Dubai Canal had not even been thought of. Now on the right of the picture it links Business Bay back to the Arabian Gulf.
The buildings to the left of he picture on Sheihk Zayeed Road were the early Dubai highrise.
And our apartment at Executive Towers is almost dead centre of the picture.
Someone needs to take the same picture in 2027!
