On 3 November 2025 Etihad will start 4x weekly non-stop flights from Abu Dhabi to Chiang Mai and vv.
The flights will be flown with newly acquired A321LR planes. Outbound flights from CNX will operate on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Sat, leaving CNX at 08.45 and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 13.00.
This allows connections to Europe without requiring a Bangkok connection
Etihad will be first of the gulfies to restart CNX flights post Covid. Between 2017 and 2020, Qatar Airways flew to CNX using 787-8s, A330-200s, and off-peak, A319s (via Yangon).
